Ballymun is a northern Dublin suburb about 9 kilometres from the city centre, well-connected by the M50 motorway at Junction 4. The area transformed dramatically from its famous high-rise towers of the 1960s into modern mixed-use developments during major regeneration in the 2000s. The M50 links efficiently to the N2 for routes north to Belfast or south into central Dublin, while local roads like the R108 and R132 connect to nearby Santry and Glasnevin. The flat terrain makes for easy driving, and Dublin's extensive EV charging network serves the area well.
