Ballymascanlan lies on County Louth's coast along the Cooley Peninsula, between Dundalk Bay and Carlingford Lough with grand views toward the Mountains of Mourne. The M1 from Dublin gets you there in about 100 kilometers, exiting near Dundalk before heading east on local roads, while the R173 runs along the peninsula itself. The area's well sorted for electric vehicles with around 30 fast charging stations scattered about. You'll find two coastal golf clubs nearby, plus Cooley Distillery for whiskey tours, and Dundalk's Victorian Public Swimming Baths still operating with their original cast-iron fittings.
