Ballyhaise sits along the N3 between Dublin and Donegal, making it a handy stop for travellers heading northwest or back toward the capital. The town is just 8 kilometres north of Cavan and connects easily to Belturbet and the border counties via local roads. About 25 EV charging points serve the area, with more in nearby Cavan town. The big draw here is the Teagasc agricultural college, which has been training Ireland's farmers since the 1960s and gives the town its distinctive character.
