Ballydehob sits on the N71 between Bantry and Schull, making it a handy stop when touring the Mizen Peninsula. The town's about 90 minutes from Cork City via Clonakilty and Skibbereen, or you can take the R592 from Bantry for a more scenic route past Roaringwater Bay. There's decent charging infrastructure for electric cars, with 11 fast stations in the area. The old railway viaduct with its 12 arches dominates the town centre, a grand reminder of when the West Cork Railway linked these remote spots to the wider world.
