Ballybunion
Ireland
Ireland
Ballybunion's a proper seaside town in Kerry where the Shannon meets the Atlantic, famous for its two championship golf courses perched on cliffs above crashing waves. The Old Course and Cashen sit 100 feet above the ocean on dramatic sandstone cliffs. From Dublin, take the M7 to Limerick then the N69 west for about three hours total. Cork drivers go through Tralee on the N21, while the scenic route from Killarney runs north via Listowel. The R551 connects you locally, and there's decent fast charging about for electric cars.
