Ballinderreen is a small County Galway village about 20 kilometers south of Galway city on the eastern shores of Galway Bay, with grand views across to the Burren in Clare. The quickest route from Galway takes the N18 south, then the R458 west through Ardrahan. It's handy for accessing the nearby championship golf courses at Galway Bay Golf and Galway Golf Club, where the Atlantic breezes make for challenging rounds. The village connects to the smaller coastal roads that meander along the bay toward Kinvara, and it's well-positioned for exploring this stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.
