Bainbridge sits at the heart of Wensleydale, perfectly placed where old drove roads meet on the valley floor. The A684 runs straight through, connecting Leyburn eastward and Sedbergh west, whilst the village green hosts the nightly horn-blowing tradition that once guided lost travellers through the fells after dark.
