Baglan lies in Neath Port Talbot's industrial corridor, easily reached via M4 junctions 38 or 40. This former steel community sits between the motorway and coast, with good links to Port Talbot, Briton Ferry and Neath. The area has adapted well to post-industrial life whilst retaining excellent transport connections. The nearby ruins of Margam Abbey include remarkably preserved medieval Monastic Baths, rare examples of cistercian bathing facilities.
