Baghasdail lies on South Uist's western edge, part of the Outer Hebrides' string of Atlantic-facing settlements. Most visitors arrive via Barra Airport then cross the causeway, whilst others ferry to Lochboisdale and drive the single-track roads west. About five EV charging points serve the area, crucial for island touring. The village commands views across pristine white beaches where Atlantic breakers roll endlessly ashore.
