Baddesley Clinton is a tiny Warwickshire village built around its stunning National Trust moated manor house, one of England's best-preserved medieval homes. Reach it via the A4177 from M40 Junction 4, about 25km from Birmingham or straight down the M40 from London and Oxford. The manor contains some of England's finest priest holes, secret chambers where Catholic priests once hid during Tudor persecution.
