Aydon lies in Northumberland's Tyne Valley, three kilometres from Corbridge and about 25 kilometres west of Newcastle. Reach it via the A68 to the B6529, or from the A69 at Hexham. The area has over 40 EV charging points nearby. Aydon Castle, a remarkably preserved 13th-century fortified manor house, remains virtually unaltered since medieval times.
