Aust

Aust is a small Gloucestershire village beside the Severn, famous for sitting beneath the old Severn Bridge on the M48. Most visitors arrive via Junction 1 off the M48 or through local roads from Thornbury and Pilning. The village church contains one of the county's best-preserved medieval doom paintings above the chancel arch.
