Auldearn is a small Highland village on the A96 between Inverness and Nairn, famous for a 1645 battlefield where Royalist forces defeated the Covenanters. The village sits amongst rolling farmland six kilometres east of the coastal town of Nairn, with Inverness Airport about 20 kilometres southwest. A distinctive 17th-century doocot remains as a testament to the area's agricultural past.
