Aughagower is a small County Mayo community just southeast of Westport along the R330, about three hours from Dublin via the M4 and N5. From Galway, take the N84 through Castlebar, while the N59 offers a lovely route through Connemara. The village sits handy to Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick, with Westport's amenities just a few kilometres away. About 30 fast chargers operate around Westport for electric vehicles. The real gem here is Aughagower's remarkably well-preserved round tower, one of Ireland's finest examples of early medieval church architecture.
