Astle is a small Highland village on the Dornoch Firth's eastern shore in Sutherland. Reach it via the A949 from the A9 trunk road, about 60km north of Inverness. The area has roughly 13 EV charging points for electric vehicles. The village name derives from Old Norse meaning "eastern settlement," echoing its Viking heritage.
