Asney lies in Somerset's countryside between Street and the Yeovilton naval air station. The A39 from Junction 23 of the M5 provides the main route in, whilst the A361 offers access from the east via the A303. Local journeys typically connect to nearby Walton and Portland within a few kilometres. Around 50 EV charging points serve the area, and traditional cider orchards still operate just outside the town centre.
