Askham Bryan is a small agricultural village 8km southwest of York, reached via the A64 and Tadcaster Road through Copmanthorpe. The A64 provides the main connection to Leeds and the A1(M), whilst local roads link nearby villages like Askham Richard and Bilbrough. The village is home to Askham Bryan College, a specialist land-based institution featuring working farms and a college zoo with over 100 animal species.
