Ashton, Cornwall

Ashton lies in Cornwall's former mining heartland, about 10 miles southwest of Helston via the A394. The village serves as a quiet base for exploring the Lizard Peninsula, with the B3302 providing local connections to Breage and surrounding hamlets. RNAS Culdrose helicopter base operates nearby, and the area retains numerous 19th-century mine shafts from Cornwall's tin mining heyday.
