Ashford sits in County Wicklow about 50 kilometres south of Dublin, serving as a handy base for exploring the Garden of Ireland. Take the M11 to Junction 13, then the R772 west for the quickest route, about an hour's drive from the capital. The R752 offers a more scenic approach through the Wicklow Mountains, though it's a bit twisty. There's decent EV charging infrastructure with around 50 fast stations in the area. The town's claim to fame is Druids Glen golf course, nicknamed "Augusta of Europe" for its championship standard and dramatic water hazards.
