Ardtoe lies on the remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula, reached via the A861 from Fort William in about 45 minutes. The winding road passes through Strontian before arriving at this small coastal settlement overlooking the Sound of Mull. Most traffic continues west toward Kilchoan and Ardnamurchan Lighthouse. The village features one of Scotland's operational salmon farms, with distinctive circular pens visible in the sea loch.
