Ardshealach

Scotland

Scotland

Ardshealach is a tiny Highland settlement on the shores of Loch Shiel in remote Moidart. Reach it via the A861 from Fort William (45km) through scenic Glen Tarbert, or from the south via A830 to Lochailort then A861 north. Acharacle lies 2km away with basic services. Mind the limited EV charging and narrow single-track roads. The loch here witnessed Bonnie Prince Charlie raising his standard in 1745.
