Ardshave

Scotland

Ardshave lies in Sutherland's coastal plain, just west of the Dornoch Firth. The A9 provides the main access route, with visitors typically approaching via The Mound from Inverness (80km north) or longer journeys from central Scotland. Local roads connect to nearby Dornoch and surrounding villages. About 13 fast EV chargers serve the area. The name derives from Gaelic "àrd" meaning height, reflecting its elevated position above the ancient Dornoch Firth salt marshes.
