Ardno sits along Loch Fyne's western shore in Argyll and Bute, accessible via the scenic A83 that hugs the lochside. The route connects south to Inveraray and north over the Rest and Be Thankful pass, making it a natural stopping point for Highland tours. The village enjoys a particularly striking view across to Loch Shira's narrow entrance, where Loch Fyne pinches to less than 500 metres wide.
