Ardara sits in County Donegal's countryside, famous for its wool and tweed tradition that goes back over 400 years. The town spans 163 hectares along the Owentocker River, with the N56 connecting it to Donegal town 30 kilometers southeast and continuing toward Dungloe. From Dublin, it's about four hours via the N4, N15, and N56. The R261 offers a lovely route south to Glenties, while the R262 heads north through the dramatic Glengesh Pass. There are around 6 public fast chargers for electric vehicles. The annual Weavers Fair in June showcases traditional hand-weaving using local Donegal wool.
