Appledram is a small West Sussex village four kilometres southwest of Chichester, reached via the A286 and local roads through Stockbridge. The A27 provides the main connection for longer journeys from Portsmouth or Brighton. The 12th-century church of St. Bartholomew houses a rare medieval wooden effigy of a chainmail-clad knight.
