Apedale is a former mining village in Staffordshire, easily reached via the A34 from Newcastle-under-Lyme or the M6 at Junction 15. The area has good EV charging coverage with over 90 fast chargers nearby. The highlight is the heritage railway at the old colliery site, where steam trains run on narrow-gauge tracks through the restored mining landscape.
