Amwell

Amwell is a small Hertfordshire village near Wheathampstead, about 45 minutes north of London via the A1 and A414. The A1081 provides the main route through the area, connecting to St Albans and the M25. Luton Airport sits 15km southwest. The village lies close to Welwyn Roman Baths, where you can see remarkably preserved hypocaust heating systems from a Roman villa discovered in the 1960s.
