Alturlie is a residential area just outside Inverness on the A96, convenient for both the city center and Inverness Airport 2km away. The A9 and A96 provide main routes south and northeast respectively, whilst local roads serve the housing estates. About 30 EV charging points are available in the wider Inverness area. The nearby Culloden Battlefield visitor center still sells traditional Highland shortbread made to an 18th-century recipe.
