Alphington

England

England

Alphington lies just southwest of Exeter along the A379, serving as a gateway between the city and Devon's coast. The former village has evolved into a popular residential area whilst retaining its riverside character along the Exe estuary. Most visitors arrive via the M5 at Junction 30, then follow the A379 through Exeter, though the route continues toward Dawlish for coastal access. The medieval church of St. Michael and All Angels houses one of Devon's finest 15th-century rood screens.
