Allonby is a small Solway Coast village with miles of sandy beach exposed at low tide. Reach it via the A596 from Maryport (8 miles north) or the B5300 coastal road from Silloth. The village has around 10 fast EV charging points for Lake District tourists. At low tide, you can see the remains of a Victorian sea wall built to protect against storm surges.
