Allerton is a leafy residential area in south Liverpool, sitting between the city center and John Lennon Airport. Reach it via the A561 from Liverpool or Junction 5 of the M62 for longer journeys. The airport is just 4km away, making it handy for travellers. The area has Calderstones Park with its ancient Neolithic stones - some of Britain's oldest rock art carved into sandstone blocks.
