Alkerton is a small Oxfordshire village near the Warwickshire border, reached via local lanes from the A422 and A361. Most visitors come from nearby Banbury or surrounding villages on short local routes. The 12th-century St. Michael's church contains rare medieval wall paintings discovered during 1960s restoration work.
