Alcaig

Scotland
Alcaig lies on the Black Isle peninsula in the Scottish Highlands, reached via the A9 from Inverness then the A862 across Kessock Bridge. The area enjoys a notably mild microclimate for the Highlands, sheltered between two firths. Electric vehicle charging is well-covered with over 30 fast chargers nearby. Despite its name, the Black Isle is neither black nor an island, but named for its distinctive dark, fertile soil.
