Airth is a small Forth Valley village between Falkirk and Grangemouth, reached via the A905 from either the M9 (Edinburgh direction) or M876 (Glasgow direction). The 14th-century castle, now a hotel, overlooks the village from its hilltop position with commanding views across the valley.
