Àird Dhail lies at Lewis's northern tip, part of the scattered Ness district about 50km from Stornoway via the A857. Most visitors ferry from Ullapool then drive north through moorland and crofting villages. The area's maritime climate brings Atlantic winds year-round across low coastal terrain dotted with lochs. The nearby Butt of Lewis lighthouse marks the Hebrides' northernmost point with striking views toward mainland Scotland.
