Adrigole sits where the Caha Mountains drop down to Bantry Bay on the Beara Peninsula, about 15 kilometers west of Bantry along the R572 coastal road. The village connects to Cork city via the N71, roughly 100 kilometers away, and sits on the Ring of Beara tourist route. What makes Adrigole special is the cable car to Dursey Island, Ireland's only one, which has been ferrying passengers and livestock across the sound since 1969.
