Adare sits in County Limerick about 16 kilometres southwest of Limerick city, where the River Maigue meanders through rich farmland. The N21 provides a grand 20-minute drive from Limerick, while Shannon Airport is only 25 kilometres away via the N69 and N18. The village makes a handy stop between Cork and Kerry, sitting right on the route to Tralee and the Dingle Peninsula. The main street features a row of perfectly preserved thatched cottages with whitewashed walls, now home to craft shops and restaurants, creating what's arguably Ireland's most photographed village street.
