Achnairn

Achnairn is a small Highland village beside Loch Shin in Sutherland, about 9km from Lairg. Reach it via the A836, which forms part of the North Coast 500 route, connecting to the A9 through Lairg and the A839. The area has roughly 3 EV charging points for the long Highland distances. The village sits right next to Lairg Dam, built in 1957 to raise Loch Shin's water level for hydroelectric power.
