Achnacarry sits beside Loch Arkaig in the Scottish Highlands, reached via the A82 to Spean Bridge then the B8005. The area has about a dozen EV charging points nearby, though planning ahead is wise given the remote location. Most visitors arrive from Fort William, 25 kilometres southeast, making this more of a destination than a passing-through sort of place. The settlement houses the Clan Cameron Museum in the restored wing of the historic castle that was the clan chiefs' seat for over 400 years.
