Achlyness perches on Scotland's wild northwestern coast in Sutherland, reached via the winding A838 from Inverness. This remote Highland settlement sits amongst dramatic coastal scenery, with single-track roads connecting to neighbouring Rhiconich and the fishing port of Kinlochbervie. The area serves as a launching point for Cape Wrath, mainland Britain's most northwesterly extremity.
