Achlonan

Scotland
Achlonan merges seamlessly with Taynuilt along Loch Etive's shores in Argyll and Bute. The A85 provides the main access from Crianlarich eastward or Oban westward, whilst the A828 offers a scenic alternative via Connel Bridge. Popular with Highland tourists and island-bound travellers heading for Oban's ferries. The name derives from Gaelic "Achadh Luachrach," meaning "field of rushes."
