Achfrish is a Highland village in Sutherland, reached via the A836 from Lairg. Most visitors arrive on the scenic 90km route from Inverness through classic Highland terrain. The village sits beside Loch Shin, one of Scotland's largest freshwater lochs and a major hydroelectric reservoir stretching over 17 miles through the countryside.
