Acharacle lies in the western Highlands beside Loch Shiel, serving as the main settlement for exploring remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Reach it via the A861 from Fort William (45km) through Glen Tarbert, or from the A830 at Lochailort. The village has one EV charging point and sits in a landscape of sea lochs and mountains. Castle Tioram's 13th-century ruins stand on a tidal island nearby, reachable on foot at low tide.
