Aberdare lies in the Cynon Valley, 20 miles northwest of Cardiff via the A4059 and A470. The A465 Heads of the Valleys road provides access from the east, whilst local routes connect to neighbouring valley towns. With over 80 public EV charging points nearby, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The restored Edwardian Coliseum Theatre with its prominent clock tower dominates the town centre.
