Abbey Wood

united kingdom

united kingdom

Abbey Wood occupies southeast London between the Thames and ancient abbey ruins, easily reached via the A2 and A206. The Elizabeth Line terminus makes it popular with Kent commuters who park here rather than drive into central London. The area takes its name from nearby Lesnes Abbey, whose impressive 12th-century stone ruins remain remarkably intact in the surrounding woodland.
